    Power steering conversion kit

    Electronic power steering system to convert manual steering TVR Chimaera and Griffiths. This is a fully electronic power steering system which fits into the steering column of the TVR Griffith or Chimaera with manual steering. This conversion gives all the benefits of a traditional hydraulic power steering system with none of the drawbacks. This conversion keeps the existing manual steering rack in place and generates the power assistance via an electric motor mounted in the steering column. The response of this steering system is programmed to suit the TVR Griffith and Chimaera and offers maximum assistance at very low speeds and this assistance reduces with speed to ensure steering feels perfect at all times. This system is incredibly powerful at low speeds, silent in operation and unobtrusive. If the engine should stall the power steering is unaffected and continues to operate perfectly normally. On hydraulic systems the power steering pump operates continuously whether it required or not, absorbing power whereas the electronic system only works when requested hence it is significantly more efficient. This kit is ideally suited to upgrading manual steering systems and is fully guaranteed. The motor drive assembly is used by a number of major car manufacturers and is used in a number of current vehicles and is built to an exceptionally high specification. The control system is CAN operated and is programmed to specifically suit the TVR Griffith and Chimaera. Note TVR Griffiths and Chimaeras with power steering command higher residual prices and are easier to sell. The price quoted includes installation.

    Delivery Guide for the UK

    Our standard delivery in the UK for smaller items is Royal Mail First Class. For items over 2kg we use APC/FedEx next day.

    Our aim is to deliver parts to our customers as soon as possible but please be advised that even with these services this can take up to 3 working days.

    Overseas Delivery Guide

    Please be aware that import duties and taxes may apply upon receipt of orders delivered outside of the UK.

    These are set by the Customs Authority of the destination country and are beyond our control. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay them.

    Where volumetric weights dictate (i.e. large parts, i.e. windscreens, panels, etc.) we reserve the right to contact customer to advise of a true delivery cost.

    Typical delivery times outside of the UK are between 5 and 21 days but are subject to customs clearance and local delivery facilities.

    Our standard Delivery outside the UK for smaller items is Royal Mail. For items over 2kg we use FedEx Express.

    All parts on our website are shown with their prices exclusive and inclusive of UK VAT (currently 20%).

    UK VAT will be automatically added to all UK orders.

    UK VAT will not be added to orders being shipped outside the UK.

    Motaclan Ltd cannot advise on, or be responsible for, any Customs or Import Duties or Taxes that are subsequently imposed on your order once it arrives in your country. Please confirm what extra charges your order is likely to incur before confirming the order with us.

    Our database knows the weight of every part listed on our website, so in the majority of cases automatic delivery options can be chosen at the checkout. Unfortunately, penalties will be imposed by all dlivery companies if a parcel is particularly large in size compared to its weight, this is commonly known as “voluming out”. This means that sometimes we are unable to accurately quote delivery for orders until we have packed the parcel and confirmed the delivery cost.

    Please be aware that import duties and taxes may apply in countries outside of the United Kingdom. All duties and taxes are set by the Customs Authority of the destination country, over which we have no control. Please note that it will be the responsibility of the customer to pay all duties and taxes.
