    Door mirror, repaired

    Left-hand side door mirror repaired. These door mirrors as fitted to TVR Chimaera and Griffiths suffer from a poor design and can break relatively easily. The die cast aluminium internal structure stress fractures over time and this allows the tapered mounting boss to break off. This stress fracturing process cannot be prevented and will occur whilst the car is being driven due to the variation in thickness of the die casting around the mounting boss. This part cannot be welded and with the original part becoming obsolete we have now developed a process for repairing these mirrors. This main structural failure repair is guaranteed and we would not expect you to have any further problems with the mirror indefinitely. There are other repairs we can undertake whilst the mirror is with us being repaired, the mirror body can be repainted and the glass replaced to make the mirror almost as good as new! Please contact Racing Green TVR and arrange for your mirror to be sent to us and we will confirm the price with you once the mirror has been stripped. We cannot guarantee to be able to repair every mirror but any such mirror with this typical failure will be repaired providing there have been no parts lost.

    Delivery Guide for the UK

    Our standard delivery in the UK for smaller items is Royal Mail First Class. For items over 2kg we use APC/FedEx next day.

    Our aim is to deliver parts to our customers as soon as possible but please be advised that even with these services this can take up to 3 working days.

    Overseas Delivery Guide

    Please be aware that import duties and taxes may apply upon receipt of orders delivered outside of the UK.

    These are set by the Customs Authority of the destination country and are beyond our control. It is the customer’s responsibility to pay them.

    Where volumetric weights dictate (i.e. large parts, i.e. windscreens, panels, etc.) we reserve the right to contact customer to advise of a true delivery cost.

    Typical delivery times outside of the UK are between 5 and 21 days but are subject to customs clearance and local delivery facilities.

    Our standard Delivery outside the UK for smaller items is Royal Mail. For items over 2kg we use FedEx Express.

    All parts on our website are shown with their prices exclusive and inclusive of UK VAT (currently 20%).

    UK VAT will be automatically added to all UK orders.

    UK VAT will not be added to orders being shipped outside the UK.

    Motaclan Ltd cannot advise on, or be responsible for, any Customs or Import Duties or Taxes that are subsequently imposed on your order once it arrives in your country. Please confirm what extra charges your order is likely to incur before confirming the order with us.

    Our database knows the weight of every part listed on our website, so in the majority of cases automatic delivery options can be chosen at the checkout. Unfortunately, penalties will be imposed by all dlivery companies if a parcel is particularly large in size compared to its weight, this is commonly known as “voluming out”. This means that sometimes we are unable to accurately quote delivery for orders until we have packed the parcel and confirmed the delivery cost.

    Please be aware that import duties and taxes may apply in countries outside of the United Kingdom. All duties and taxes are set by the Customs Authority of the destination country, over which we have no control. Please note that it will be the responsibility of the customer to pay all duties and taxes.
