The International TVR Meeting at the Nürburgring once again delivered an unforgettable celebration of British sports car heritage, bringing together passionate TVR owners and enthusiasts from across Europe for a weekend of driving, displays, and camaraderie.
Motaclan was proud to support the event by sponsoring vouchers for three special award categories:
-
Oldest TVR
-
Travelled the Furthest
-
Best in Show
A sincere thank you goes to Tim and the Motaclan team for their continued support of the international TVR community.
A Truly International TVR Event
Participants travelled from multiple European countries to attend the meeting, reinforcing the Nürburgring’s status as a key destination for TVR enthusiasts. Event setup began on Thursday under rainy conditions, as expected from the forecast, but this did little to dampen spirits.
Friday morning saw a memorable arrival, with a convoy of 10 TVRs travelling from England, drawing plenty of attention as they entered the paddock. By early afternoon, German attendees filled the infield, and anticipation continued to build throughout the day.
The highlight of Friday evening was the spectacular line-up of TVRs on the start and finish straight of the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit, offering an iconic backdrop for both owners and spectators.
Weather, Displays, and the Main Event Day
Weather conditions across the weekend were typical for the Eifel region, with a mix of sunshine, cloud, rain, and wind. Friday’s sun was strong enough that by evening, several attendees had clearly enjoyed a little too much of it.
Saturday, traditionally the main event day, saw nearly 100 TVRs displayed on the infield. Although conditions alternated between rain, dry spells, and gusty winds—particularly noticeable in the stands and AMG Arena—the atmosphere remained positive throughout.
Saturday evening concluded with the legendary TVR party, featuring music, fireworks, and the much-anticipated awards ceremony.
Motaclan Voucher Award Winners
Oldest TVR
The Oldest TVR award was presented to Nils Ruwisch, whose beautifully maintained TVR Vixen S1 from 1967 stood as a testament to the marque’s early engineering and enduring appeal.
Travelled the Furthest
The award for Travelled the Furthest went to Dave Shaw and his wife, who completed a 602-mile journey from England in their TVR Sagaris. Regular attendees at both the International TVR Meeting and the Oldtimer Grand Prix, their dedication continues to impress year after year.
Best in Show
The Best in Show competition proved particularly close, with judges unable to separate Mark Cosh’s blue TVR Sagarisand David Allen’s Lamborghini-orange TVR Tuscan, resulting in joint first place.
In a generous gesture, Mark passed his prize to the runner-up, meaning Ralph Huber received the Motaclan voucher for his striking green metallic TVR Chimaera. David Allen also received a donated jacket from Amore Parts in recognition of his award-winning Tuscan.
Sunday Farewells and Looking Ahead
Early on Sunday morning, the English contingent began their journey back home, while French and Dutch attendees stayed on to enjoy further track action and time in the TVR area until dismantling began in the early afternoon.
Planning is already underway for a very special TVR meeting in 2027, marking:
-
80 years of TVR
-
100 years of the Nürburgring
