On 9th October Motaclan Group expanded its Original Equipment parts offering to include the TVR marque with the acquisition of the assets of the historically TVR approved parts supplier Racing Green Cars Limited www.partsfortvrs.com
Motaclan, which has a global network of approved dealers and specialises in the supply of OE quality parts for Classic British models, has expanded its operation to include the TVR marque to supply both TVR dealers and owners alike. Operating from a 35,0000 sq ft bespoke parts warehouse in Birmingham, this acquisition will see Motaclan add a further 4,000 specific part lines to its existing inventory of over 1 million components to address the requirements of existing TVR owners and the members of the TVR Heritage Network.
These part lines comprise a mix of what was left in the stores after the Blackpool factory closed, together with stock from OEMs that originally supplied products for the old cars. Where such parts no longer exist, Racing Green with the approval of TVR used the TVR archives and extensive library of technical drawings to facilitate the remanufacture of replacement parts guaranteed to match, or exceed, the performance defined by the original specifications.
Graham Love, owner of Racing Green, commented:
“Motaclan will be an excellent home for the Parts for TVR’s business with its OE legacy, part quality and service focus”.
Tim Lyons, Managing Director of Motaclan Limited, commented:
“Motaclan are committed to sustainability and keeping classic British cars on the road. As with Motaclan existing operations, OE Quality and premium service are the cornerstones of our parts business and adding another OE brand with considerable historical synergies with the Motaclan Group is a perfect fit. The acquisition of the www.partsfortvrs.com assets provide an exciting opportunity with an iconic British marque and we look forward to getting to know the TVR community and servicing their requirements”.
